I feel like having yet another birthday and New Year's in NYC has brought me to closer, more openly familiar and developed terms with the city. That and it has also become embedded in me somehow, in my psychological and sociological make-up. I have the opportunity to be very serious intellectually and professionally, while still maintaining a sense of liberty and youth. Yet you haunt me, NYC, your habit of feeding vices and your reliance on money.
For now, my cultural tastes of the city are reigned in to smaller, more local activities, like bike-riding, potlucks with friends, and going to neighborhood bars with some extra draw, like the campfire at Union Pool...
